GMA Network’s
fantasy drama Angela did not fail to enchant its viewers until the very
end with an epic finale featuring a battle between good and evil. The series’
final episode posted a rating of 15.8% and 50.1% shares, beating its
competition based on Nielsen Philippines NUTAM overnight household ratings.

In the
episodes leading to the finale, Gerald finally breaks free from Lucille’s
control. Angela on the other hand discovers she is pregnant with their baby.
Knowing that Lucille will never give them peace, Gerald plans to put an end to
her evil schemes. He continues his act as Lucille’s boyfriend and in a
surprising twist, drives their car over a cliff.
However,
Lucille escapes the tragedy using her evil powers, leaving Gerald behind.
Angela and Benedict arrives and tries to save Gerald. With the help of a rescue
team, Benedict climbs down a helicopter to get Gerald out of danger. Lucille
won’t let them have their happy ending. She uses witchcraft putting both men in
harm. Much to Gerald’s surprise, Benedict sacrifices himself to save him,
eventually dying in the process.
Seeking to
avenge Benedict’s death, Angela uses a powerful and forbidden magic to finally
face Lucille. Their magic explodes upon impact and Lucille disappears into thin
air. Unknown to Angela, Lucille gets trapped in a doll. Several years later,
Angela and Gerald get married and now have a young daughter.
As fate would
have it, Angela’s daughter finds the doll where Lucille is trapped, a
foreboding that her evil half-sister may come back again to get her revenge.
In an
interview, lead star Sanya Lopez admits that she has grown so much as an
actress through her experience in Angela. “I will definitely miss
everyone, especially the cast and crew. I will never forget all our catfights
with Thea (Lucille) and all the drama,” the actress said.

only a month but we were extended several times until finally ending with
seven. I definitely have nothing but good words to the whole cast and crew of
this team,” the actor said.
