Aicelle Santos joins Miss Saigon's UK Tour as Gigi Van Tranh

Multi-talented GMA artist Aicelle Santos is taking on the role of Gigi Van Tranh in the UK Production Tour of Miss Saigon. Gigi is among the main characters of the musical. It is the same role that Filipina theater actress and former GMA artist Rachelle Ann Go played in the London West End revival of the musical in 2014. Aicelle is scheduled to leave by the end of the month to start training for her role. Aicelle was last seen as “Deedee”, the feisty best friend of Nimfa in the high-rating drama Impostora.

Benjamin Alvez can't get enough of Thailand

Benjamin Alvez recently came back from Thailand after the success of his promotional tour via JKN Global Media and Bright TV’s “Have a Bright Day Event”. He can’t seem to get enough of Thailand as he takes viewers tasting local Thai restaurants in the Philippines in a special episode of lifestyle show Taste Buddies. Together with Solenn Heusaff (Encantadia) and Rhian Ramos (The One That Got Away), the trio try various Thai inspired dishes as well as Asian fusion cuisine. Benjamin was in Thailand promoting Beautiful Strangers that will be aired by JKN. GMA primetime king Dingdong Dantes and heartthrob Mikael Daez were also part of the tour.

GMA artists undergo one-year training with international acting coach Anthony Bova

Prominent New York-based acting coach Anthony Bova is in the country to conduct a one-year intensive workshop with talents of GMA Artists Center. Bova is a world-renowned acting coach having worked with clients from Broadway and Wallstreet and being on staff at NYU and the New York Film Academy. GMA artists expressed their gratitude for the great opportunity to hone their craft. “It’s like going to school for a whole year. We get to practice and master acting and every day we learn something new,” said Heart and Soul lead actor Miguel Tanfelix in an interview. The workshop aims to help the future generation of actors develop the skills of an effective performer.
